Sending Church: People's Baptist Church, Fayetteville, NC
Family (kids, grandkids): Melinda, Sarah, James, John, and Gerald
Personal Testimony: I was saved as a young military man, graduated from Bible College in 1985 and have served the Lord in some capacity ever since. I pastored most of the last 20 years, with my last pastorate being in Fayetteville, NC, where I pastored for over six years.
Testimonial of what it has meant to be a part of AGM: I was first introduced to Amazing Grace Mission's ministry in the early 90's. From the first time I worked with the mission's soul-winning booth at the Missouri State Fair I have been convinced that it was the best soul-winning tool with which I had ever been involved. While pastoring in North Carolina I worked both the county and state fairs and was even more convinced of it's value to both reach the lost and to inspire and motivate churches to get the gospel out. I saw churches greatly stirred to witness! The fair is like not other place I know where people come to where you are so that you might tell them what Christ has done for them.
In June of "2005" Dr. James Gardner presented the ministry of A.G.M. at our church. It was while he was there that he asked me on behalf of himself and his son, John, if I would travel and represent the ministry of A.G.M. Dr. Gardner is getting up in years and needs to be slowing down some. He has asked me to help him with his work of presenting A.G.M. to the churches around the country. My responsibilities are to present the ministry, recruit workers, and raise funds for the support of the ministry. After much wrestling with the Lord and myself I have come to believe this is how God would have me serve Him. Therefore, I have resigned as the pastor of the People's Baptist Church and have stepped out on faith to take on the opportunity and responsibility.
