AGM Start Year:
I learned of AGM in - July 1998 from a pastor friend Greg Altizer. I immediately called the mission, talked with Bro. John Gardner and had the necessary application forms sent to me. In the meantime I visited two fairs, one in SC and one in GA. I led several people to the Lord. We decided this was what God wanted us to do. We were accepted December 1997. Our church, Cashiers Baptist Church, Cashiers, NC, commissioned us and took us on for support. We started January 1998 and did the Florida State Fair in February.

Mission Verse: "What shall it profit a man if he gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul.”  Mark 8:36, 37

Personal Testimony: (Jim)  I was saved in June of 1970 at Calvary Baptist Church, Cedar Bluff, Va., and was baptized the next Sunday, and started a bus ministry 3 weeks later.  I have been in the ministry for 35 years.

Personal:
Joan and I were married February 1, 1964 and she served faithfully with me for 37 yrs. and 9 mos. While in Macon GA, at a fair, she suddenly became ill and two weeks later she went home to be with the Lord. She led a 31 yr. old lady, a carnival worker, to the Lord 15 days before she left.
I am now married to Charlotte, a lady Joan and I had been friends with for 20 yrs. She has a son Kelsey Harding, married to Kellie they have 3 children; Tyler 11, Justin 7, and Sarah Elizabeth 3. She also has a daughter Lori Stricklen who has two sons, J.R. 13 and Jon 10. So we have 5 grandchildren, PTL!

April 2005:  I am now in my eighth year with AGM. This has been one of the most exciting and fulfilling ministries I have ever been associated with. Before this I worked in the bus ministry for 16 years. I've worked with children's church, camp ministry and youth. I attended Fruitland Baptist Bible Institute (2 yr. associates degree), ordained April 19, 1994 at Grace Baptist Temple and pastored 4 years in NC. The fair ministry is the greatest way of reaching souls that I know of. The opportunities for reaching the lost are greater than ever. We look forward to seeing many saved.

Philip (the evangelist) asked the Ethiopian Eunuch, who was reading from the book of Isaiah, "do you understand what you are reading?" He said "how can I, unless someone guides me?" There are many people who would like to know how to be saved and are waiting for someone to show them. We would like to be that someone. Will you help?????

Amazing Grace Mission gave me the opportunity to win souls of people from all over the world, to meet people, and make friends while traveling, and see the Lord work in Great & Mysterious Ways.
