This is an example; you may use your own presentation, but you will need something to reference what the Word of God says about man's condition and what God's plan is for salvation.
Man is sinful and is separated from God so he canít know and experience Godís love and plan for his life."For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; Romans 3:23 That includes you.
God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life and you can know and experience His plan for your life.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16 However, you need to respond to His love.
Jesus Christ is Godís only provision for your sin, and through Him you can know and experience Godís love and plan for your life.
"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."John 14:6
"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them thatbelieve on his name:" John 1:12
He is the only way! You must individually receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord. Then you can know and experience Godís love and plan for your life.
The Bible says:
"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:10
This is not talking about intellectual belief. This word believeth means to put your whole trust in Jesus. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans10:13 Are you a whosoever? Have you called on him for your salvation to give you eternal life?
You actually choose your own eternal destiny. You either choose to receive Jesus into your life or you donít. If you reject him you have made a bad choice.
The Bible says:
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." John3:36 The only reason someone goes to hell is for rejecting Jesus as Saviour and Lord.
You may be saying, "I believe in Jesus." That is good, but if it is only intellectual belief, that will not do, according to the Word of God.
The word believeth means to put your entire trust in Him. The problem with many is that they know a lot about Jesus but do not know Him. There are two kinds of faith. One is temporal faith, which is trusting God for the temporary things in life, like for your finances, health, tests on your final exams, etc. Then there is saving faith, which is trusting Jesus as your personal Saviour.
Donít let pride hold you back. The Bible says:
"Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up. "James 4:10
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28
Are you tired of trying to measure up to God? Are you working hard trying to get your act cleaned up good enough, so you can present yourself before God in the hopes He will except your good works? That will not work because the Bible says;
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." Ephesians 2:8,9 Clearly, your own efforts will not work according to the Word of God.
Are you tired of trying to make it to heaven by your works, and now understand that Jesus "is the way?" Then why not believe (trust) in Him for you salvation? " That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed." Romans 10:9 to 11
Believe in your heart, confess your sin, agree that Jesus paid the price for your sin, and verbalize that to God by trusting Jesus as your Saviour.
The Lord wants to hear something like this from each of us.
Dear God, I have sinned against you. Please forgive me for all my sin. I believe that Jesus died on the cross for me in payment for my sin, and rose again that I might have eternal life with Him. Jesus, I am trusting in you and you alone to save me. In Jesus name. Amen
